She encouraged new forms of the service in the Church. Her complete devotion to accomplishing of Christ's Kingdom in the world, in 1938. she founded an association called the Collaborators of the Christ the King that would later develop into the first institute in our country.

As a prominent and respected Catholic activist, soon after the war she came into conflict with the communist regime, particularly because she publicly defended Archbishop Stepinac. She was arrested on 01.September 1947. and was found guilty during the trial that was held on 24. and 25. January 1948. She energetically rejected all the political accusation and bravely testified her loyalty to Christ and the Church. She was sentenced to five years imprisonment and served her sentence in the women's prison in Slavonska Požega.

She spend her last five years in Zagreb in forced seclusion and was not allowed to perform any public activity. With ruined health but undiminished fervour, with the support of the imprisoned Archbishop Blessed Stepinac she managed to coordinate her Institute with current Church law and she lived to see full recognition of her Institute by the Church in 1953. In spite of the conditions she had to pass through, she remained unchanged: simple, warm, open and full of goodness and understanding for everybody. She knew how to direct and inspire with enthusiasm in spite of all the threats on the part of the communists and increasingly severe illness.

She died on 08.October 1957. peacefully and faithfully, surrounded by her associates. Her grave in the 57th field of Mirogoj and it is frequently visited by many faithful people, both men and women.
